Release notes & checksums ↗A FEW THINGS TO KNOW
Open the downloaded setup file. Choose a language, an installation folder and whether to create a desktop shortcut. Open Folio from the Start menu or shortcut, then connect your document folder. To use AI, add your own API key in Settings.
Yes. Reading, the local library, annotations and notes work without a model key. AI explanations and generated concept maps need your own model service.
PDF, TXT and Markdown, with Chinese and English interfaces. Text-based PDFs support passage selection; scanned pages do not have OCR yet. The 3D experiment covers tetrahedral rotations, not arbitrary generated scenes. macOS, Linux and Zotero sync are not available yet.
Close Folio and run the newer installer in the existing location. Uninstall from Windows Settings; personal documents, notes and settings are kept. Export important notes regularly. For problems or suggestions, open an issue on GitHub. Avoid posting private documents or API keys.
