Pricing questions
Does Folio take a cut of client payments?
No. Folio takes zero platform fee on any client payment, ever. When you use invoicing, you connect your own Stripe account and pay only Stripe standard processing fees — we do not add anything on top.
Can I switch plans at any time?
Yes. You can upgrade or downgrade at any time from your account settings. When upgrading, the price difference is prorated for the remainder of your billing period. When downgrading, the change takes effect at the next billing cycle.
Is there a free trial?
We offer a 14-day free trial on the Pro plan — no credit card required. After the trial, you can choose Starter or Pro depending on your needs.
What happens if I exceed the client limit on Starter?
We will notify you when you approach the 25-client limit. You can upgrade to Pro (unlimited clients) at any time. We will never cut off access to existing clients mid-engagement.
Do you offer annual billing?
Yes. Annual billing gives you two months free (pay for 10, get 12). Annual pricing is available on all plans and can be selected during signup or switched from your billing settings.
